Gold Strike Carex

Gold Strike Carex is a low maintenance, variegated, ornamental sedge. The leaves arch upward, then down in a grass-like clump and are a creamy gold in the center and green on the edges. This plant can be used as a colorful substitute for liriope or other grass like varieties. Gold Strike is deer resistant and is great in partly shaded areas as a groundcover or edger.

Gold Breeze Miscanthus

Gold Breeze Miscanthus is a unique grass that is an apple-green color banded with horizontal golden bars. It is a drought tolerant plant with a fast growth rate. It will get to be between 5 and 7 feet tall at maturity and will have an overall spread of 3 to 4 feet.

Karley Rose Fountain Grass

Karley Rose Fountain Grass is a beautiful plant that performs well in the hot Texas sun! It is a patented ornamental grass that was discovered by David Skwiot in1995, who named this grass after his daughter. This grass has smoky purple plumes that will last all summer long. Its foliage is a beautiful blue-green color. This grass is very drought tolerant and is suitable for xeriscaping.

Blue Lyme Grass

Blue Lyme Grass is a cool season, drought tolerant evergreen that can tolerate some hot weather. It grows best in Zones 3-9 and will grow 2 feet tall with a width of 1 to 2 feet. It has a pretty silver/white foliage and produces tall flower spikes that bloom in the summer. The blooms turn beige as they mature. Creekside Nursery sells Blue Lyme Grass in a 1 gallon container.
