Chilly Chili Ornamental Pepper

The Chilly Chili pepper (Capsicum annuum) is an ornamental as well as edible pepper. It is heat tolerant and requires very little maintenance. It can be grown indoors or outdoors, and can be enjoyed by those with the even the most sensitive taste buds due to its very mild flavor. The peppers range in color from red, to yellow and orange. The Chilly Chili pepper is compact and does great in containers or landscapes.

Crape Myrtle

Crape Myrtles are a favorite for fun summer color. White, pink, magenta and purple - there is a color to fit any landscape. With their multi trunks and in older plants its peeling bark, they will make a great feature plant in your landscape. Plant in full sun for the best blooming. They can take very light shade but, will not have as many showy blooms. Water slowly and deeply at least once a week during the heat of the summer until they mature. Trim back in the late winter and early spring while dormant to shape, but it is not recommended to cut back too deeply Beware of planting near a pool area as they tend to decorate your pool with their blooms and leaves.

Pachysandra Japanese Spurge

Pachysandra or Japanese Spurge is considered one of the toughest groundcovers once it's established. From drought conditions to kids and pets running across it, this sturdy groundcover can handle most anything. Plant in early spring or fall so, it has time to establish before hot or cold weather sets in. This plant works well in helping to control erosion in many areas, and is largely used by landscapers for this reason. Hardy in Zones 4-7. Plant in dappled sun or shade. If planting in a sunny location, this plant will require more water until it has become established. Japanese spurge also makes a nice addition to a mixed planter on a deck or patio.

Mandevilla 'Sun Parasol Giant Pink'

The Mandevilla Sun Parasol Giant Pink is an eye-catching tropical that produces large pink tubular flowers on a twining vine. The dark green foliage is resistant to humidity, pests and disease. It blooms from early summer through the first frost. Growth requirements include partial to full sun and regular watering.
