Prostrate rosemary is a low growing evergreen shrub with a trailing form and fragrant foliage. It has dark green, aromatic, needle-like leaves and lovely lilac-blue flowers which appear in late winter and sporadically throughout the year. While not native to Texas, rosemary is well adapted, preferring well drained soils and tolerant of heat and full sun. This herb is prized for its culinary and medicinal purposes, but is also very popular in the landscape. The ‘prostrate’ variety is known for its trailing habit which is well suited to use in garden borders, cascading down slopes or adding character to containers. Prostrate rosemary is excellent in many garden types, especially pollinator, rock, or kitchen gardens. Proudly grown at Creekside Nursery in 1 and 3 gallon containers.
