White Variegated Dianella

Dianella ‘Variegata’ is an upright and dense herbaceous evergreen perennial with green and white striped leaves. The strappy foliage is about 1 inch wide with bluish green centers and creamy white edges, and grows to about two feet tall.  In the warm months, tall spires of lavender-blue flowers appear above the foliage and are followed by small round blue berries.  Dianella is drought tolerant and performs best in rich soil with partial shade.  This low maintenance plant should be cleaned up in the spring before active growth begins.  Use variegated dianella in the landscape for a color accent or in mass as a bright groundcover.  Its vivid leaves offer a cheery look to container plantings or cut flower arrangements. Variegated dianella is proudly grown at Creekside Nursery in 1 and 3 gallon containers.
