‘Tangerine Beauty’ is a cultivar of native crossvine found in Texas that bears spectacular tangerine-colored blooms with yellow throats. This vigorous vine will easily grow 15-20 feet wide and tall, using holdfasts at the ends of its tendrils to ramble up structures without additional support. Notably, these adhesive pads do not leave marks on surface of structures in the way that other vines often do. This hardy vine is drought and heat tolerant, adaptable to nearly any well drained soil type, and can take full sun to partial shade. The showy flowers are a favorite of hummingbirds and other pollinators, and will flush with new blooms on old growth throughout the warm season. During the winter, its semi-evergreen leaves will darken from glossy green to an attractive reddish-purple. ‘Tangerine Beauty’ crossvine is an excellent selection for covering arches, fences, and walls with year-round color interest. Grown Creekside Nursery in staked 1 and 5 gallon containers.
