Gold Star Esperanza
Chosen as a Texas SuperStar, the Gold Star variety of Esperanza is a great choice for non-stop golden colored blooms. This is a fast-growing semi-evergreen shrub that produces large clusters of golden-yellow, bell-shaped flowers from late spring well into fall. Great as a showy border and does well as a large container plant, because it can be pruned to maintain a more compact habit. Esperanza is very heat tolerant and loves full sun. Performs best in Zones 9-11 and is attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Remove dead flower clusters and seedpods as they form to keep flowers producing.
