Sophora secundiflora
An evergreen small tree or large shrub that is native to central Texas. It produces purple flowers that have a grape jelly scent which permeates the garden. It is deer and drought tolerant and requires little maintenance once it is established. A wonderful specimen plant that should be planted in more landscapes. Attracts butterflies.
