Sweet Almond Verbena
Aloysia virgata
Summer flowering plant with dark green leaves. In midsummer, fragrant clusters of white flowers appear, attracting butterflies in profusion. Useful as a patio plant where its fragrance can be enjoyed or can be grown in the shrub or perennial border. May die to the ground in colder regions but will reemerge quickly as weather warms in spring.
