The Texstar Peach was developed by Texas A&M University as a cold hardy peach variety for home gardeners. It is a self pollinator that has medium to large-sized fruit that ripens in summer.

Water Water regularly during the first year to maintain a healthy plant. Avoid letting it dry out. Mulch to retain moisture.

Fertilization Feed with an all-purpose fertilizer in early spring and again in late summer. Follow label application instructions.
Pruning Little pruning is generally needed. Remove broken or damaged limbs for a nice appearance. Thinning fruit early will result in maximum size and quality.
