Pyrus communis 'Orient'
Orient is a tasty pear with a large round shape, similar in shape to Asian pears. The fruit has yellow skin with sweet, firm and juicy flesh. Good disease resistance and bears heavily. Best fruit set when planted with another variety of fruiting pear. The tree has a highly ornamental value with loads of showy white blooms in spring. Requires 400 chilling hours.
