IT SYSTEMS MANAGER

The IT / Network Systems Manager will support and maintain company servers, laptops, desktops, peripherals, software, and other IT Systems at our Corporate Office and offsite locations in the greater Houston and surrounding areas. This will include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and software while ensuring quality and optimal performance. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance when required. This position is customer-facing and requires strong customer service skills and will require travel to various company sites in and around the Houston area.
Responsibilities
- Field incoming helpdesk requests from the user community in a courteous manner via phone calls, service desk requests, email and/or walkups.
- Promote the use of ticketing system and assist the user community with requesting assistance.
- Track, record, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful attempts at resolving the issue through to the final resolution.
- Support users across dispersed locations using remote assistance software and a variety of communication tools. In some cases, on-site visits will be required.
- Obtain and document detailed issue descriptions from the end user.
- Resolve issues through the use of diagnostic and service desk request tracking tools, as well as provide hands-on assistance as needed.
- Provide training and support to the user community and fellow team members on computer operations and other areas as they are needed.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot IT related hardware, software, peripherals, and printers.
- Perform post resolution follow-ups to service desk requests.
- Maintain inventory of all IT and Network-related hardware.
- Develop and maintain software installation and configuration documentation for use by IT.
- Schedule and perform hardware and software patching, improvements, upgrades and repairs.
- When necessary, liaise with third-party support and vendors.
- In conjunction with senior leadership, aid in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crisis in accordance with them.
Qualifications
· Education: 4 Year Degree (Preferred) in a Computer Science or MIS related field.
- Technical certifications will be considered in lieu of a college degree (A+, N+, Microsoft, Sonicwall, Ubiquiti, VMWare)
· Minimum 3-5+ years experience supporting end-user platforms and applications.
o Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, QuickBooks, Sage Accounting Software (fka Timberline).
· Minimum 3-5+ years hardware and software troubleshooting experience in a business environment.
o Servers, Laptops, Desktops, multi-function printers, peripherals, large format printers and copiers.
· Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft Server platforms.
o Active Directory, User Administration, Printer Administration, Group Policy
o Windows Server 2012-2022
o Experience supporting Virtual Environments (VMware) a plus.
· Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience with networking – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, Switching and Routing.
o Sonicwall experience is a plus.
o Cloud experience a big plus.
o Demonstrated ability to implement VLANs to segment network spaces, along with the ability to troubleshoot same.
· 3+ year experience working in the Ubiquiti ecosystem (APs, UISP/PtP, Access).
· Surveillance and access control systems experience would be a big plus.
· Phone System experience (VOIP and copper line).

- Ability to follow specific instructions, and multitask within tight deadlines.
- Self- directed, requiring minimal supervision, but can also recognize, escalate and collaborate on solutions when necessary.
- Pay close attention to details.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Experience supporting a user community in remote locations.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience working for a construction firm a plus.
- Experience working in a property management firm a plus.
Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to problem-solve, along with asserted skill sets to verify their readiness for the position. Candidates should be prepared to cite specific examples of work in the areas cited in their resume, as well as demonstrate those skills in a test environment.

LABOR
Creekside Nursery is looking for hardworking individuals who enjoy the outdoors. Candidates will be working and learning from our Production Team how to plant, pull, space, tag, load, water and grow a variety of plants.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work outside year round
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

SPRAY TECHNICIAN
Creekside Nursery is looking for a Spray Technician to assist our team in applying pesticides, and herbicides. Candidates will work directly with our lead technician on spraying schedules, mixtures, safety protocols, and weed control. All candidates must be capable of wearing personal protection equipment, and be able to work outdoors year round.

Work alongside industry professionals and gain hands on experience in Sales, Propagation, Plant Health, Shipping, Growing, Tagging, and Accounting.
