Pachysandra Japanese Spurge

Pachysandra or Japanese Spurge is considered one of the toughest groundcovers once it's established. From drought conditions to kids and pets running across it, this sturdy groundcover can handle most anything. Plant in early spring or fall so, it has time to establish before hot or cold weather sets in. This plant works well in helping to control erosion in many areas, and is largely used by landscapers for this reason. Hardy in Zones 4-7. Plant in dappled sun or shade.  If planting in a sunny location, this plant will require more water until it has become established. Japanese spurge also makes a nice addition to a mixed planter on a deck or patio.
